Today, the Western Vikings return”home” a lot faster today than when they left!

The first weekend of our trip to Iceland in September began with a wonderful weekend with our friends Arney Einasdottir and Gisli Gislason who toured us to the South. Gisli, amongst his other talents, is also a qualified tour guide, Provided excellent commentary as we moved through ice water and glacial fields and rivers in what they referred to as “ refreshing weather.” It was that indeed as the storm system that I’ve been moving along to the US Atlantic coast and obliterated some Bahamian islands reached The southern coast of Iceland with a fury. The weekend was capped with a visit to a farmhouse for an evening. The owner – prominent photographer and raconteur were Haukur Snorrasson who I quickly identified as Baldi Johannesson’s cousin! The pictures tell the story.
